I would propose a 2 phase fund raiser:
Phase 1: Commission a few artists to create (say around 5) plushies and take donations to convert the expense of the materials plus a small tip for the artists and their time. This way the burden is taken off the artists to buy all the supplies AND spending all the time designing and assembling the plushies. Bronies donating for this phase would get music, a fan created episode, or some other digital good.

Phase 2: Raffle 2 of the plushies to the good ponies that donate to Shriners. The other 3 plushies would go to kids at Shriners that need some cheering up and some hope to keep fighting.

Also, it would be amazing if we could get Lauren Faust, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, etc. to sign the plushies (depending on who the plushie depicts) and make them extra special. I’m sure they would be willing to sign a pony for charity if there was a way to get in touch with them.

If BfG ever organizes this, count me in!

I wanted to write you and let you know I was told that you are a great site. And you might be able to help me get out the word about my nephew with cancer. He is 9 years old; his name is De’Vante Atley Struble. You can find him on Facebook. His cancer started 2 years ago with a cyst on his foot, which turned out to be cancerous. He had to have a portion of his foot removed to halt the cancer. He has been battling with this for close to three years. I was told by a friend of mine’s son, Austin, that you can help with supporting the family emotionally during De’Vante’s struggle. I am asking you if you can locate him on Facebook and cheer him up. He always has a smile on his face, but he needs encouragement from as many sources as he can get.

What is wrong with enjoying a show like My Little Ponies? Especially from the “male” perspective… nopony dies in the show, nopony gets seriously injured, there is no extreme violence or sexual innuendos… what is the big deal? Pedophiles don’t watch it, they watch little children. There are masculine homosexuals who have never heard of the show. And how many times has any pony seen a straight man rock the color pink? In public schools there is little to no protection for the students…bullying is abolished in private schools, but why do parents have to pay out of the noise to have protection for their children? A generation ago it was Barney and Friends, with the age of suicide being what it is now. It seems like the bullying had gotten more vicious because of entertainment that is not “Pinkie Pie Approved.” I apologize for the rant, but becoming a recent fan of the series, I see nothing wrong with the show…
