I am currently going to a high school in central Texas and was wondering if I could create a club at said school to be an extension of your organization. It may or may not form at this point, but if it does, I would like it to be a part of Bronies for Good.

Glad to hear you’re motivated to help out your community. However, are there any service clubs or organizations already at your high school? If there are, and they are actively helping, it would be better to join one of them instead of splitting resources between groups. And besides, how many bronies do you think (and be honest with yourself) would participate regularly in a BfG club?

In any case, if you do decide to go forward with the club, good luck.

Hey guys, I was browsing the net and came across this. Any way our Brony community can help? I’ve already spread the word, but I feel that it would be more effective if you were to do it. It’s a pleasure! BROHOOF!

    Your site is fantastic, guys!

I hope you read this, or someone does, because I guess I need some help in figuring this out.

My father despises the idea of me sending money to anyone if I’m not buying something with it. He’s a bit of a miser like that, and unfortunately, I don’t have a PayPal account or otherwise credit card, as I’m only 17, and I don’t get my license until later this year, so I don’t have a job!

However, I still really want to donate! You can be sure that I’ll be donating once I have a job, hopefully regularly. I’ve posted the site on Facebook and made a note to tell anyone and everyone about you guys.

But I still don’t feel like I’m doing enough! Not to sound silly, but I really, really want to donate or help! What can I do if I don’t have the means to send money electronically?

There are some nice alternative ways to participating in the fundraisers. If you are good with making music you can crate a song for the album (thread for the album here: or if you are good at making physical gifts you can offer a prize for the highest donors (plushies, paintings etc.) or if you are good in digital arts you can create a tutorial or a free commission slot. Or if you can write well you can also make a fanfic on commission. If you have any ideas you can shoot us an email and we’ll see how you can help :)

      And thanks for taking interest!

Hey guys, you may have already seen or heard, but the KONY 2012 video was just recently posted and it details the horrors being committed on the children in Africa. All we need is for the video to be shared enough to make a statement. I’ve already spread the word on behalf of myself, but having a giant such as yourself spread it, might be more effective. Bronies care, so I think this is a chance for many Bronies to do the right thing! Thanks!

Hey folks! Here’s another charity that might be worth donating to! Operation Smile provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.

I think this is an absolutely wonderful charity to donate to. It gives kids with facial deformities a chance at a normal life, whereas otherwise they would have none.

Hello, I am a musician and recently tried to send a vocal audition to the “Massive smile smile smile project” but realized that I was one day late. I was heartbroken at that, and inspired to help your group out in any way I can as far as insturmentals or lyrics/vocals. I bet you get alot of these messages, but just offering my help is the only thing I can do right now.

I over donated to the Seeds of Kindness charity, is there any way I can get some of my money back? (the money I didn’t mean to spend?!?) My computer was slow and the page wasn’t loading so I clicked on the continue button a couple times because it seems like nothing was happening, nothing was loading or doing anything. I drained my debit card.. D~: I’ve sent you guys an email, is there anything you/I can do now?

    • Telofy says:

As I said in the email, but again for anyone who might read it here, refunding money is outside our capabilities; we don’t even know what payment method someone used. However, we do have to wait for 14 days until the money can be transferred off Betterplace due to possible refunds, and refunds have happened in the past, so it is possible to request a refund from credit card or debit card companies, from PayPal, or from whatever else you used. Depending on various factors, though, different refund periods apply, after which refunds may no longer be possibly or different conditions may apply.

PayPal has a few help pages concerning refunds, and so has your payment gateway probably too. Best of luck!

Hey. I’m a brony, from the faraway land of New Zealand. I accidentally let slip to a guy that I watch MLP and now several people know. I’m afraid the whole school will find out and I’m not sure how to react to that. Any advice?

    Thanks for being awesome.

    July 19, 2012 at 12:03 am
    • Telofy says:

But that’s not a problem—or is it? Most of my friends and acquaintances watched a few episodes and then either decided it wasn’t for them or became almost as hooked as I am. Maybe get a few cool pony T-shirts to wear?

      • William says:

Thanks, I’m already on it. So I should just let any reactions or abuse come, and love and tolerate no matter what?

  • ThunderKnock says:

i think a good project to get the community involved in would be the pay it forward movement. its non-profit, but it spreads kindness and love around the world, by keeping up a cycle of paying forward a kind act, instead of paying it back. this is pay it froward day, where most of the people in the movement see it like a holiday of sorts. and this is filled with different PiF movements.

i think it might be a good idea to at least get word out, if not try to create some kind of partnership with the movement.

Before I donate further I was wondering what your EIN or TIN number is as I cannot find Bronies for Good in the IRS charitable organization database

    • Telofy says:

Bronies for Good is not a registered nonprofit in any way, but then again, no money passes through our hands, so that doesn’t matter.

Regrading the Seeds of Kindness fundraisers, Your Siblings is registered in Germany and so is the German branch of Engineers Without Borders we want to support.

      Hey David,

Generosity comes in many forms and it is always appreciated. :)

While we may not need artwork for the site, we could always use artwork as prizes. For example, if you’d like to contribute say, a vector commission as a Seeds of Kindness 3 prize for a top donor, that would be fantastic! Please let us know and once more, thank you for being awesome! /)

Thats great ^_^ how would I go about doing that? It shall definitly take some thinking about for the picture. I would love to donate but I didn’t know i could help in such a big way. ^_^ that brings my heart a happy!

I hate to continue adding more comments, but there is no Edit button and I have discovered more. I would also Like to put forward one of my songs (I haven’t made It yet, this is saying that I am going to) towards the charity album. I make very good Orchestral songs (total originals) I will be contacting through the porper channels as listed on the seeds of kindness 3 section once its done, and I would still like to throw 1 or 2 of my vector commissions forward. Just get back to me on how I can do all that.

Am I correct in understanding you guys will be running the charity auction at BronyCon? I have something I would like to donate: I have created a “Hope” style poster featuring Kiki’s OC with the word “Inspire” under her. I would propose having the ViPs at the con sign it and auction it off. It is 24″x36″ in size, and I feel with some notable signatures it might fetch something. Here is the link:http: // I will need some assistance in getting the signatures, is this something you guys can help with? Thanks!

Hey guys! Just wanted to post a story here.

First, what happened today. Near the end of my shift, a thought occurred to me. I can’t really describe how I reached that thought. Something to do with how negative the world seems to be and how a bit of kindness can spread some positive feelings (Even the smallest pebble causes ripples in the pond, etc). I decided that when I would go to the gas station, I would anonymously pay for someone else’s tank of gas as a random act of kindness. The only thing that didn’t go to according to plan was that I was caught. The lady thanked me as I left, and I can’t help but wonder how my action may ripple out. She might make a Facebook post that will make someones’ day. She might use the money she planned to spend on gas on a nice gift for a friend. She may even pay it forward and do the same for someone else. I figure a little Kindness in the small things could help make this world better.

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place for this, but I’m running out of time to find help. My step-dad is going to lose his home in a week if we don’t find help in time. He’s a disabled veteran who truly needs aid. Please, help a fellow brony. Please share this link, and consider making even a small donation. Every little bit helps.

We’ve lost my mom, my grandma, and two pets within the last two years. Please help us prevent another tragedy. Please help, bronies.

I have a question. What is wrong with enjoying a show like My Little Ponies? Especially from the “male” perspective… nopony dies in the show, nopony gets seriously injured, there is no extreme violence or sexual innuendos… what is the big deal? Pedophiles don’t watch it, they watch little children. There are masculine homosexuals who have never heard of the show. And how many times has any pony seen a straight man rock the color pink? In public schools there is little to no protection for the students…bullying is abolished in private schools, but why do parents have to pay out of the noise to have protection for their children? A generation ago it was Barney and Friends, with the age of suicide being what it is now. It seems like the bullying had gotten more vicious because of entertainment that is not “Pinkie Pie Approved.” I apologize for the rant, but becoming a recent fan of the series, I see nothing wrong with the show…

    To Rachael,

I wanted to write you and let you know I was told that you are a great site. And you might be able to help me get out the word about my nephew with cancer. He is 9 years old; his name is De’Vante Atley Struble. You can find him on Facebook. His cancer started 2 years ago with a cyst on his foot, which turned out to be cancerous. He had to have a portion of his foot removed to halt the cancer. He has been battling with this for close to three years. I was told by a friend of mine’s son, Austin, that you can help with supporting the family emotionally during De’Vante’s struggle. I am asking you if you can locate him on Facebook and cheer him up. He always has a smile on his face, but he needs encouragement from as many sources as he can get.

Please feel free to contact me via email and I will pass along Austin’s email.

I love the idea of donating to Shriners, it seems like a great cause:

I would propose a 2 phase fund raiser:
Phase 1: Commission a few artists to create (say around 5) plushies and take donations to convert the expense of the materials plus a small tip for the artists and their time. This way the burden is taken off the artists to buy all the supplies AND spending all the time designing and assembling the plushies. Bronies donating for this phase would get music, a fan created episode, or some other digital good.

Phase 2: Raffle 2 of the plushies to the good ponies that donate to Shriners. The other 3 plushies would go to kids at Shriners that need some cheering up and some hope to keep fighting.

Also, it would be amazing if we could get Lauren Faust, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, etc. to sign the plushies (depending on who the plushie depicts) and make them extra special. I’m sure they would be willing to sign a pony for charity if there was a way to get in touch with them.

If BfG ever organizes this, count me in!
