Bronies for Good is proud to announce our first donation drive: Redheart’s Roundup!
For the month of September (not October,) we urge you to get out there and find a local blood bank so you can donate some of that precious red stuff. You might even save a life! I could go on and on about this, but Martinwil was kind enough to put the official announcement and further details into a nifty Google Document. You can find it by clicking the image!

I know I’m going to sound like a broken record, but please make sure you eat a substantial meal before attempting to donate. Imagine you’re going to be hiking 5 miles in the mountains and you can’t bring along any food. Not high in fat, and rich in protein and carbohydrates.
Also, if you’re feeling skittish about donating blood, you can do this. There isn’t any pain, you get a free mini-checkup and blood analysis, and you may have just saved (up to) three lives.
International bronies who are looking for their blood donation options, there’s a handy list of organizations at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_blood_donation_agencies .
So does that mean that I can donate blood in UK representing your group?
I wish I could donate, but I did a donation of double-red cell apheresis not too long ago. The waiting time before I’m eligible again is crazy long
.
I totally would, but in the UK there is a lifetime ban on gay and bi-sexual men giving blood. Apparently, that’s how homosexuality is transmitted.
Same in The Netherlands…its absurd that something like that still exists
